Found this podcast entirely by chance and have since listened to the entire History of Rome, and I have to say that your writing and delivery have sparked an interest in history in me. I don't even know what to say or how to thank you.
So I'll just say for the record that this was another great episode, and thank you for everything you do.

Another great episode! Can we request a supplemental episode on Benjamin Franklin?

John Kelly

Daniel and others interested in listen to more about Benjamin Franklin.

Audible has "The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin" as part of their "Select a $0.99 Whispersync for Voice Classic" (http://www.audible.com/mt/wfs/narrow/ref=a_pd_Bios-M_c2_1_wsrch). There is also second version (narrated by Robin Field, with slightly higher ratings) which can be discounted to $2.99.

You just need to "buy" the free Kindle edition from Amazon first. I'm not sure if you have to be a member for this discount to kick in, but it might be another good usage of that trail membership time.

In response to a request that I verify the claim that thhe puritans and pilgrims were different groups (since comments for the previous episode are now closed): plenty of sources available, just google "difference between puritans and pilgrims." The basic difference was that puritans wanted to purify the church of england while the pilgrims were willingbto found their own church if need be. Boston was settled by Puritans and Plymouth by Pilgrims.
